Tom joined Desert Mountain in 1998 and has lived full time in the Village of Desert Hills since 2012. He and his wife, Addie, love the Sonoran Desert and the beauty of the Desert Mountain community. Tom’s career spanned four decades as a lawyer specializing in Patent and Intellectual Property litigation. In that time, he represented various Fortune 500 companies and a host of others in securing verdicts and settlements approaching $100 million. In addition to his law degree, Tom has a Master’s Degree in Engineering.
Tom has also served as a board member for Adoption Advocacy International, a 501(c) organization devoted to improving domestic and international adoption laws. He volunteered at Mayo Hospital in Phoenix in 2014 and 2015 and became a CARE Board member in 2015.
Before moving full time to Scottsdale, Tom was a member at Medinah Country Club just outside Chicago, where he served on the Membership Committee and the Club’s Officer Nominating Committee. He was also President of the Larch Avenue Rowhomes Homeowners Association, in Elmhurst, Illinois.
